Privacy Policy

Through your use of InferKit's websites, applications, products and services (the "Service"), we (InferKit Inc., a Canada corporation. Also "us", "our") may collect and store information about you ("You", "your", a user of the Service). This Privacy Policy describes the ways we may collect, store, use, or manage that information.

Information we collect

We collect information from or about you when you:

• Create or modify an account.
• Upload data to the Service.
• Communicate with us.
• Use our API.
• Visit our websites.

Types of data we collect:

• Whether you create an account or not, we may collect, by ourselves or through third parties: cookies, usage data.
• If you create an account, we collect your email address, name, organization and a password. A password is not collected if you use a third-party sign-in method (Google or GitHub).
• Payment methods

Use of information

Payment methods provided by you are stored by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. They are never sent to, or stored on, any of our own servers. We use Stripe to charge you according to your usage of the Service. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

If you sign in using a Google account, we verify that you control your email address and then associate it with your account. We may also use your first and last name to pre-fill the name fields during the sign-up process.

We use your email address:

• To identify the account you've created so you can log into it in the future.
• To provide the Service.
• To communicate with you.
• To send you updates or marketing emails, which you can opt out of through an unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email.

Third party analytics services:

• We may use third-party tracking or data collection and analytics tools from Google Analytics. Google Analytics collects cookies and usage data. To understand how Google uses your information, visit https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/.

We use your name and organization:

• To help us understand who our users are.
• To communicate with you.

Passwords are used to secure your account and ensure that only you can access it. Passwords are stored only in an appropriately hashed form. We currently use the bcrypt algorithm.
